Ms. Springer is Principal Campus Counsel at UC Irvine, where she provides legal advice and counsel to UCI and UCI Health leadership on faculty and staff employment, disability, discrimination and other related issues.

Prior to joining UC Irvine, Ms. Springer served as Deputy General Counsel for the American Psychological Association and the affiliated APA Services, Inc., where she focused on employment issues, lobby and non-profit tax compliance, corporate governance, education, accreditation and ethics issues, along with general legal risk management. Prior to APA, she was General Counsel to the American Association of University Professors (AAUP), where she presented, wrote, and advised college and university faculty, administrators, lawyers, and others on higher education legal issues, and authored a number of amicus briefs before federal and state courts. Previously, Ms. Springer was on the faculty of the Washington College of Law at American University, practiced employment law at McCutchen, Doyle, Brown and Enersen in San Francisco, clerked with Judge Richard Cudahy of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and served as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Nancy Kassebaum.
