Ms. Strottman is Principal Campus Counsel at UC Irvine, where she provides legal advice and counsel to executive campus leadership, including the Chancellor, Provost, Vice Chancellors, and Deans, on all matters affecting the campus.

Prior to joining UC Irvine, Ms. Strottman served as University Counsel for the California State University, Office of General Counsel. She was a member of the Office of General Counsel’s Academic and Student Affairs Team and served as the CSU systemwide resource attorney for matters relating to police and law enforcement, the Clery Act, residency, and student fee issues. In addition, she served as University Counsel at California State University, Los Angeles, where she was a member of the President’s Cabinet. She held a similar role at Stanislaus State University.

Before joining CSU, Ms. Strottman was a partner at Burke, Williams & Sorensen, where she represented public entities throughout California in a wide array of matters. She began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable John Ramsey Johnson of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Ms. Strottman is admitted to practice law in California.
